My warm up for today is one of my favorite quotes by Eleanor Roosevelt. What's your favorite quote?
Yes, it's been a while. I've forgotten all about my little blog and have been posting directly to Instagram. Shame on me. Here's today's warm up exercise and affirmation featuring a quote by Van Gogh. Hope you love it as much as I do!
Hello world! This is my very first blog post on my website. Those of you that are familiar with my site probably know that I had my original blog linked here but I thought I'd try something a bit different. I'm going to use this space to post my #DailyAffirmationProject that I have been working on as well as design project updates and news. I will use my other blog as a more personal platform from now on. You will also see gradual changes to all of my accounts all over the web as I have just finalized my divorce this week and I am going back to my maiden name Elizabeth Rodriguez and dropping Caldwell. I will however be keeping ecdesignz and ecdesign for the future. Please bare with me during this transition. I sort of feel like Prince at the moment. Or The Artist Formerly Known as Prince? I've built my brand around my married name but considering the new chapter (or rather new BOOK) in my life I thought it would be best to go back to who I really am and really get a fresh start. Re-branding is going to be interesting and challenging so I welcome any input if you have if you have already gone through this!
Those of you that follow me on Instagram and Facebook have seen my frequent hand lettering featuring Inspirational Quotes and Daily Affirmations. I really want to expand my readership and encourage more people to follow my posts which is why I will be posting my affirmations and quotes here from now on first then sharing via other social networks. My goal is to use this project as a way to inspire and encourage other artists and even non artists. Let's face it; life is tough and hard to get through sometimes. I'd like to do my part (as we all should) to inspire and lift others up. The world needs more art and more love and more light. So if you are stumbling across my website for the first time or you are a frequent visitor I encourage you to share this with everyone you know, because you never know who you will inspire, motivate, or simply make smile! I posted an affirmation today on Facebook and I immediately received a response from a friend of mine saying that I make him happy with my art. This is what I'm talking about! THIS is the reaction I am going for. So go on...share and comment and subscribe to my posts so you don't miss a single one! And if you are on Facebook (who isn't?), Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc please follow me there too! Would love to hear your thoughts about this project!
